RE/MAX Alliance Tees It Up for the 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Benefiting Children’s Miracle Network!

RE/MAX Alliance cordially invites you to clean off your clubs, stock your bag full of balls and join us to celebrate the 18th annual RE/MAX Alliance Children’s Network Golf Tournament on August 8th, 2011 at the Riverdale Dunes and Knolls Golf Club in Brighton, CO.

For the past seventeen years, RE/MAX Alliance has been honored to put on such a wonderful event that through the years has touched the hearts and lives of so many involved with the Children’s Miracle Network. The RE/MAX Alliance Charity Golf Tournament has always been about giving back to the children in the community while enjoying a great day of golf at the same time! The 2010 tournament raised over $68,000! 100% of the proceeds raised by the golf tournament go to Children's Hospital in Denver. RE/MAX Alliance has been a strong supporter and sponsor of Children's Miracle Network since 1992 and annually donates nearly $120,000 to the organization through various company fund-raising programs and Realtor participation.

The first year RE/MAX Alliance held the golf tournament, $4,000 was raised and the tournament was played on only 18 holes. The event has come a long way since then and now is played on 27 holes and in 2005 the “helicopter ball drop” was introduced. Participants are able to purchase a golf ball, which will be dropped with over 700 other balls onto a specified putting green by a hovering helicopter. The ball that lands in or closet to the hole is awarded a $1,000 cash prize.

“It’s such a joy watching the faces of the kids as the helicopter circles the putting green,” said Vice President of RE/MAX Alliance Kim Hawkins. “It really puts a smile on your face knowing that we do all of this for the kids. Giving them a day that is ALL about them is very rewarding.”

The tournament is a best ball scramble and includes a delicious lunch from Smiling Moose along with a great dinner buffet. The gracious support from all of our sponsors truly makes a difference throughout the event and in the support of the kids.

“We have a committed group of associates with representation from all our offices and our core service partners Colorado Mortgage Alliance and Alliance Insurance who work very hard to make this a fabulous and successful event,” says Hawkins. “We begin planning in February for an August event and the devoted time and energy is absolutely amazing! Add to that our incredible sponsors, many of whom have been involved for over 10 years, and you can see why the event is so successful.”

“This event is really about our future … our children,” Hawkins added. “The cause touches everyone … their hearts and for many their lives. Even amongst our company we have stories of how Children’s Hospital has played a role in a child’s life.”

Each year, Children’s Miracle Network hospitals provide more than $2.5 billion in charitable care; these non-profit children’s hospitals depend on community support.

Grab a foursome or sign-up as a single and come out and make a day of it, while supporting such a wonderful cause. Check in is at 9:30 am, shotgun start is at 11:30 am, and the golf ball drop, live auction and dinner will start at 5:30 pm.
